Key takeaways

Practice growth is a sequence, not a single tactic. The 90-day roadmap runs in four phases: Days 1-14 build the foundation (Google Business Profile, fast website with one CTA, booking, review system, missed-call automation); Days 15-30 get found (local SEO, content, reviews, database reactivation); Days 31-60 convert (AI intake, homepage refinement, speed, follow-up); Days 61-90 optimize and scale. Most practices with an existing client base reach near-capacity by day 90; brand-new practices need 6-12 months.

Practice growth is not magic and it's not a single tactic. It's a sequence: build the foundation, get found, convert what you find, then optimize. Here's the 90-day sequence we use with every practice we take from invisible to at-capacity.

Days 1-14: Foundation

Before anything else, the foundation has to be solid. Skipping this is the single most common mistake — practices pour marketing budget onto a leaky bucket and wonder why nothing fills.

  • Google Business Profile — claimed, fully filled, verified, with 10+ photos and weekly posting cadence. (See our GBP guide.)
  • Website fundamentals — fast, mobile-first, with a clear primary CTA, one outcome-focused headline, and one trust signal above the fold. (See our homepage anatomy.)
  • Booking system — a working, calendar-linked booking page that lets people schedule without you. Not "call to book."
  • Review-request system — automated, ethical, asks the right client at the right moment. (See our reviews guide.)
  • Missed-call automation — every missed call gets an SMS within 30 seconds.

By day 14, the practice is ready to receive and convert the attention we're about to generate. Without this, marketing spend is wasted.

Days 15-30: Get found

Now we make the practice visible to the people looking for it. The order matters:

  • Local SEO foundation — citations on the 40-60 directories that matter, consistent NAP, schema markup, locally-targeted content. (See our local SEO guide.)
  • Content engine start — publish 4-6 substantive blog posts answering the questions your clients actually ask. This becomes both SEO fuel and trust fuel.
  • Review accumulation — the review sequence is live, asking every qualifying client. Target: 10-15 new reviews in this 15-day window.
  • Database reactivation — re-engage the past-client and past-lead list. (See our database reactivation guide.) Typically yields 3-8 bookings from existing assets.

By day 30, the practice is showing up in local searches, has content working for it 24/7, has social proof building, and has reactivated dormant relationships. Most practices see a noticeable bump in inquiries already.

Days 31-60: Convert what you find

Traffic without conversion is just numbers. The next 30 days focus on the conversion layer:

  • AI intake assistant — live on the site, answering FAQs and capturing leads 24/7. (See our AI intake guide.) Typically increases booked-consultation rate 25-40%.
  • Homepage refinement — based on real visitor behavior in the first 30 days, refine headlines, CTAs, and section order.
  • Speed and friction fixes — page load optimized, booking flow tested end-to-end on mobile.
  • Follow-up automation — every lead gets a sequence of well-timed, value-first follow-ups.

By day 60, conversion rates from visitor → booked consultation have typically doubled. The practice is now getting real, measurable leverage from the foundation built in the first 30 days.

Days 61-90: Optimize and scale

With foundation, traffic, and conversion all working, the final 30 days are about optimization and selective scaling:

  • Analytics review — what's actually working? Double down on the highest-ROI channels.
  • Voice AI for after-hours — extend reachable hours without extending your work hours. (See our voice AI guide.)
  • Paid traffic (careful) — only once organic + referral + reactivation are maxed. Start small, measure, scale what works.
  • Content cadence — 1-2 posts per week, ongoing, answering real client questions.
  • Quarterly review rhythm — establish a monthly metrics review so the practice keeps improving after our engagement ends.

By day 90, the practice has a complete growth engine: it gets found, it converts, it follows up, it optimizes. Most practices we work with are at or near capacity by this point — and have the systems to stay there without ongoing heroics.

The honest caveats

  • 90 days is realistic for most practices with an existing client base. Brand-new practices need 6-12 months.
  • The roadmap assumes you have the bandwidth to do the work — or you've hired it done. Reading this without acting changes nothing.
  • Results depend on your market, your offer, your existing reputation, and how consistently you execute.

Frequently asked questions

What is the first step in growing a practice?+

Build the foundation before spending on marketing: a claimed, complete Google Business Profile; a fast, mobile-first site with one clear CTA and a trust signal; a working booking page; an ethical review-request system; and missed-call automation. Pouring traffic onto a leaky bucket is the most common mistake.

How long does it take to go from invisible to fully booked?+

About 90 days for most practices with an existing client base, moving through foundation, visibility, conversion, and optimization in roughly 30-day blocks. Brand-new practices need 6-12 months, and results depend on your market, offer, reputation, and how consistently you execute.

When should a practice consider paid advertising?+

Only after organic, referral, and reactivation channels are maximized — in the final optimization phase. Start small, measure carefully, and scale only what proves it works. Paid traffic poured onto an unoptimized foundation is the fastest way to waste budget.
